We believe that for people with developmental disabilities to have an opportunity to reach their full potential, it begins with having the fundamentals for daily life – at home, at work and in the community.
The Futures Foundation provides grants for everyday basics in the following areas:
- Home – furniture and appliances
- Mobility – wheel chair enhancements, ramps and lifts
- Communications / Technology – hearing aids and tablets
- Experiences – inclusion and skill building
Often these are perceived as small things, yet for people with special needs these things can be life-changing. Over 3,000 individuals and families have been impacted by the Futures Foundation – easing extraordinary stresses of everyday living, stabilizing home environments, fostering community engagement, and building self-reliance and pride.
